I think Z2 was maybe too inexperienced. I would love to see King take the game and revive it. I wouldn't mind if they got rid of the parties... and go back to basic Trading and add new levels.

Min I agree, things got out of hand with the parties, back to the good old days I think. I really miss the game, but tbh I don't miss the amount of time and the constant compulsion to collect fame. I think I kept starting new little villages because it was going back to the basic trading days, the really fun bit.
Aaah reminiscing.......

I actually think that its to do with coding languages. Games get old, the language its written in is old as is probably the platform that it was written for.. and it gets harder and harder to make improvements. If you introduce something new the whole thing pretty much needs to be rewritten..and its just not cost effective for these people.. its very sad but i think a sad reality..

The article talked about future developments...that sounds promising.

They bit off more than they can chew. Also, they didn't think it all the way through with the tokens. The requirements for medical tents, sushi shops, bon bons for big parties made villages uninteresting and didn't help baby villages. But exciting times ahead. I can't wait to see what King does with it.

Awhile back, I remember a TN survey that showed a lot of new and improved TN stuff but nothing ever came of it. Perhaps that's what King is working with? Wish I had kept the url for it to show you all...
In the meantime, FrogMommie is looking for the new smurf game since it's released in Canada and she will check it out. I hope to see her here soon.

I sure hope your optimism is realized. I went to the Z2 site last night and if you look under the "Games" tab only two are listed: BattleNations and Metalstorm Online. The new company, King, may expect Z2 to produce Candy Crush like results and I suspect TN is barely paying the server maintenance, much less generating significant profits.
As badly as the parties are implemented, I hope they don't get rid of parties because that's the only way I can tell which of my neighbors are active. I can't get rid of them because some are still active in BN.
Thanks for creating the forum, and it's good to see that there are still people interested in the future of TN. It's just too bad that does not seem to include Z2.

Welcome Pigaro! I made the same discovery going to the Z2 site. TN was removed from the list of games. Worse... it no longer appears in App Store!

It's still available for Android. But this version never worked and never got any updates after release in Jan 2014.

Thanks for the welcome and sorry for the pessimistic note. I was not aware that TN is no longer available from the App Store, that is very bad news. Given Z2's lack of regard for their customers, I suspect one day we will try to get on and no longer be able to connect to the server.
While I have pretty much moved on from TN, it is still special place to me. It was the first of the "freemium" games that I tried and has allowed me to interact with a number of folks in a very positive way. That is why I still actively play TN, but have relegated BN to more of a maintenance mode. To some degree, Z2's neglect of TN has at least prevented it from becoming the bloated monstrosity that is now BN. I've got to admit that the frequent crashing is still annoying, however.
