Silke, I just tried to look it up on the Google play app and it no longer pops up only Battle Nations, which I never has an interest in Wow, they must have taken this off during the last couple of days. I just checked last weekend and it was still on there. But this doesn't have to be bad news. That's at least what I've been telling myself. Maybe they're just making sure that games that will be carrying King's name and are out there for download are working properly. The Android version never has. Unfortunately we don't know nothing right now about TN's future. But as long as no one is telling us this game is going to go away, I just try to stay positive. :-)

I tried again last night to look in Purchases and it said it was in my cloud so I clicked and it pulled it up. Unfortunately I have the elongated iPhone 6+ and the far right of the screen is absent so cannot get Fame, Build menu, More Friends, etc. So I will have to use my 4s for those things. I doubt King will be in any hurry to make necessary programming changes and post the update.

Hey guys!
First off, I would like to start by saying thank you to whoever created this forum. Z2's treatment of the very game that brought all of its accomplishments and "fame" has been very irresponsible and disrespectful to the Trade Nations community, especially for its many active members, but forums like these can help us communicate with each other and get through these difficult and frustrating times.
John Cook's article brings some new hope for the Trade Nations community; however the article's writing alone highlights at the immense challenges that need to be undertaken by King if TN is to come back from its many problems. Despite TN being the single most important phenomenon ever to befall Z2, Z2 has distanced itself so immensely from TN that not only does it not even appear on the Z2 website anymore but also it fails to adequately appear in the article. In describing Z2, Cook says "the Seattle mobile gaming company known for titles such as Battle Nations and Metalstorm." Cook's failure to mention TN, in my opinion, brings about the following conclusion: Z2 has done a pretty effective job of removing every connection it had with TN and even though the world knows that TN existed at one point in time, now its name has been erased from all the history books. I don't know why Z2 has done what it has to TN; the level of censorship Z2 undertook with it is reminiscent of an authoritarian government eliminating potential political dissidents. TN (and the lesser title Nitro) is no longer on the Z2 website, App store, or Play store, and now in articles describing the "Seattle mobile gaming company," no one underscores TN as one of the company's popular games, let alone the company's game in the first place.
Although the prospects of King reforming TN in a way that will restore it to its former glory without removing too much content (ie. Fame) are fairly slim, they do give us hope. Z2 and the world may no longer recognize Trade Nations as a game worthy of discussion or basic citation, but here Trade Nations lives on, in the pages of this forum and in the hearts and minds of its community and sympathizers, forever till the end of time.
Thank you.

Hi Crocp7,
It's good to see you here. Welcome! Feel free to vent and share your frustration. Speaking for most, I think we are all disappointed with Z2. To sum it up, they messed up! I don’t even care to list all the poor decisions they made that put off the payers. The list is endless. Their biggest fail is the instability of the game after introducing fame. The crashing is unbearable.
Now that it’s pulled from the App Store, we are really going to see a rapid decline of players. No more new players. The question is why did they pull it from the website and the app store. The two obvious reasons are 1) take it offline for improvements 2) phase out the game. I hate to say this, but I think it’s the latter. That won’t stop me from hoping they will have the resources to salvage it.
Whatever happens, like you said, we will continue on and remember what that common thread is that has strung us together here.

I believe they took it off the App Store because they don't want to do the necessary upgrade to iphone6. I know that when the iPhone5 came out z2 was one of the last to make the upgrade to it. The App Store was probably going to pull all the games that didn't meet the iphone6 standards.

Well stated Crocp. Thanx to Annie, we TNers can still come together and keep in touch. I truly hope the game can be salvaged. I believe it would be worth the investment. That is if Z2 didn't muck it up beyond repair.

If King buys Z2 and isn't interested in TN... wow, that would mean the end, wouldn't it? There is no way they would waste server space on TN. This game could be just gone over night one day.
