Our house isn't as old as LJ's but we're having our annual spring thaw/leaky roof issue. A couple of pots strategically placed in chronic spots. The architect was from Califronia and didn't really and truly understand the importance of insulation, pitch of roof, and type of roof. Califronia style house doesn't stand up to Ottawa style winters  Where's Califronia? California houses are built to withstand earthquakes and wild fires. |

Well we have itty bitty earthquakes here, nothing compared to Calirfornia's. Our neighbourhood is built on top of a tiny fault line so on very rare occasions we will hear frost quakes in the winter. So far our house has withstood these issues. But dammit, the roof line, insulation, and duct work for the Furnace were NOT designed for Ottawa winters.

True?? im not 100% sure annie, i was away i think when it all happened... there was some argument between Jeremy and a producer and i believe he was suspended and the rest of the season was cancelled... but ive also heard that the other two presenters are refusing to carry on without him, there is a huge petition to get him reinstated, etc etc... so your guess is as good as mine! lol |
