Welcome Bondat! I think you should allow yourself to revel in the excitement and joy of the family reunion because that is the gift of living. It doesn't mean you are grieving any less for your grandmother.

Hi Bondat! Maria right? I'm glad you found a way to get here. How did you do it?
I had another first today... I made home made pizza for the first time and it was yummy!! Made my own dough! Easy 30-min meal that everyone loves.

Ever buy something expensive only to have it break within a short time? I bought me some fancy pancy eyeglasses that kept breaking and I got tired of going back to the office to get them fixed so I just left them on my workbench and bought a pair of 'readers'. Yesterday I decided I was gonna try to fix them myself. I had to create half of a threaded pin that had broken off and then find a tiny nut that fit. Oh yah, and super glue! (Still tryin to get that stuff off my fingers) I may not be paintin but I be creatin! |

Did you have the readers on when you tried to fix the other ones? I did. The funny part is that after fixin them, they gave me such a headache for 2 days that I'm back to my readers again. Argh! |

I totally like this topic. It made me wanna do something for the first time. I haven't come up with an idea yet, but this is definitely something I want to make a summer project of mine. There are surely a lot of things that I haven't done yet, and that's something I should remind me of every time I think I'm getting old. :-)
But since cooking counts in this thread: last week I made French fries in the oven from fresh potatoes. They were easy to make and my husband loved them.
