Been working on a Do it Yourself project or maybe finished one? Do you knit, sew, paint, garden, sculpt or other creative things?
We'd love to see whatcha created if you care to share a pic of your project here...

How about food? Does that count? I made a magnificent shepherd's pie last night but neglected to take photos. First time making it, but it was a huge hit.

I am working on getting my garden cleaned up. There are lots of weeds. My plan is to spend an hour a day weeding till they are all gone.

My garden is mostly flowers. I may do some tomatoes as well but I love roses!

My garden is mostly flowers. I may do some tomatoes as well but I love roses! I love the smell of roses! I really do stop and smell them on my walk. Oh, I love the smell of freesias too! They smell like fruit loops cereal!

Roses are spikey and have got me one too many times lol... Love freesias, but my number one favourite has to be daffodils... All yellow ones... They are so sunny and cheerful in the gloom of February and show that spring is just around the corner....

I should have freesias blooming in about 2 weeks. I have several rose bushes that are thornless that I have along the walkway but I also have lots of scratches from pruning the more standard roses.

Hey! Anybody here on Pintrest? I use it a lot for recipes - I'll never buy a cookbook again Two of three girls use it, and I will never need help with gift ideas for them again. If anyone is interested in sharing boards, let me know.

I just signed up for Pinterest, but I haven't figured out exactly what I would use it for. Really? It can replace recipe books? I thought it was an online picture and photo scrapbook app. I'll have to look into it.
Anyone rainbow loom? Is it big outside of US? It has taken over my son's entire elementary school and he has got me making charms, animals, cartoon characters, bracelets. Its sort of fun. I'll have to post some pictures.

Pintrest is like an album of websites, using images to sort. Sort of. I have several recipe boards - Savoury, Sweet, Appetizers, Tapas, Beverages, Smoothies, and Made It Loved It. Within each board is an image of a recipe, linking back to the original content (blogs, AllRecipes, etc.). I also have boards for interests, projects for someday, home decorating ideas and so on.
My oldest daughter has a board for weddings and nursing. My second daughter has one for survival techniques and prom dresses. There are a lot of crafts - my sister pins DIY Christmas ornaments all the time. Think of each board as a bulletin board that you are pinning stuff you have collected or cut out of magazines. I just started a board to promote one of the charities that I am Treasurer for.
It is a very visual pastime. You have a daily feed, based on your pinning activity and on the activity of people you follow. You can share boards with people - my daughter in Calgary and I used a board to share ideas for her friend's baby shower. You can have a secret board with someone too - my sister and I have one where we make light hearted fun of our mom and post gift ideas for my kids. You can find and pin just about anything except pornography (TIL autocorrect does not recognize the word pornography - fancy that).
You can use it on a desktop, tablet or phone. You can send pins to people of things you think they may enjoy and add a message to it. When you log in on a desktop, you can arrange your boards however you like - I have my food boards all together - some people arrange their boards alphabetically.
To search for someone you know, go to the search "page" with the little magnifying glass icon, type in their username, and click on "Pinners". Annie I'll PM you my user name so you can have a look.

Chek got me started on Pintrest but I haven't really checked it all out.
Froggie, excellent description! I didn't realize all that you can do in there. Maybe I can find some good art projects.

I've decided to finish up the dozen paintings I've started. They just keep staring at me. I'd post a photo of them but I just can't seem to figure out the posting process. I wish they had a copy and paste button. It's hard to figure out these new fangle thingies. Can you teach an old frog new tricks?
