In case if you are wondering about the new advertisement banner: ProBoards is able to provide quality forum hosting services to us completely free of charge, due to the advertisements displayed.
We have the option to remove the advertisement for a small fee each month. but it doesn't seem to be that intrusive to the forum, so why not support the businesses that support ProBoards.

Advertisements are so prevalent, I don't really register them anymore.

I remember the ads from the old forum were totally out of the left field. Some were super funny and odd. Supposedly it's from our own search history. We had a thread on the ads we saw on our pages, which was quite amusing.
Right now, I have a Fingerhut banner. Boring, but I guess they know I like to shop.
