If anyone is still playing Godus, here is some info about gameplay:
~ there is an update for the game - 24 chests have been secreted on your homeworld - each chest deciphers a passage in a journal - it's written from the god perspective and gives you hints about gameplay
~ the ark is a portal to a second world called weyworld
~ gameplay is a lot more challenging in weyworld as you are limited to certain terrain types for farming and mining, making it more difficult to amass resoucres - builders require food, for example, to build housing (not a requirement in your homeworld)
~ I have seen some beautifully crafted/sculpted lands in posts in /r/Godus on reddit - if you have the patience and the resources, you can do some amazingly gorgeous things, especially when you figure out how to control the running water
