Hi Beemer! Good to see you here! How did you like the last TSTO event? The prizes are a little ugly - I really miss the aesthetics of decorating in TN. Springfield is NOT a pretty place, and I find it hard to garner enthusiasm to decorate and rearrange.

Just so my "friends" know, I've created another baby town. I've named it RoxAnne_sybil after you guys.

Hi. I'm new to the forum but I've been playing TN off and on for 3 to 4 years.

Me too, but only for entertainment. I dislike being told what to read, particularly when the subject isn't of personal interest. So what's on your reading list? I like fantasy and historical fiction myself.

I like fantasy and historical fiction myself. I read a historical fiction that was an alternate history called Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card many many years ago. My favorite book was Chronicles of Amber by Roger Zelazney. I used to read science fantasy a lot (old school like Michael Moorcock and Marion Zimmer Bradley). Now I read non fiction almost always (history, philosophy, physics). I don't really know why I changed reading habits; I hated history when I was in school.

Beemer!! How are you?? Very well, what about yourself? As happy as your avatar, I hope! Enjoying a sunny spring and hoping to sell our house soon. Wish me luck. Ready for a move. Was very glad to see so many known and well-liked names. I do miss the game and the Forum. Would love it if TN was reborn!

Nothing like TN for graphics, Springfield is rather garish but those awful guys at Z2 just stopped with TN so it was the only thing that I found distraction with. Joined when snow was on..... Crossing my fingers that the new owners of TN have more vision and get it going again.

The Moose is loose! Welcome to to the new members! I love sci-fi fantasy books! My favorite author is Anne McAfrey. Sadly she has passed. Loved her dragon books and the Pern world she created!

Thanks for the welcome. I'm in a game slump now but I will pick up again in a few days. I have not read Anne McAfrey but I am familiar with her. If I remember correctly, she wrote Dragonriders of Pern series (I hope I spelled that right). I had thought about reading it but never got around to it. The last modern science fantasy author I read was Robert Jordon. My favorite science fantasy author is Frank Herbert. I really liked his writing style. Lately, my daughter has been getting me to read her manga (so we have something to talk about). It is soooo different than anything I've ever read (and I used to read comic books when I was a teenager).

Yes, Dragonriders of Pern was her first series and where I fell in love with her amazing style and the world she created. Love frank Herbert and his Dune series!

Welcome Beemer and eruditus!!
I wish I had time to read! I'm like a tornado when I get home trying to get everyone fed, homework done (with little one) and home kept. But my workaround for that problem is book on CD. It's great for my commute to and from work.

I always had an audiobook in my car for my commute. After I listened to them, I'd donate them to the blind center.
